Finished, at last. I spent more time than I hoped to, but I also did more work than I planned to (notably, the grass). It only took a week, and that's speedy compared to previous pictures, so I think it was all well balanced. I was debating whether to add more contrast to his robe and mask, but I decided that since they were rather simple shapes against distinctive bordering elements, a higher contrast wasn't really necessary. Also, I didn't feel like wasting even more time.
Sorry for the dearth of updates this past week. When I wasn't busy doing non-art-related stuff, I was fully concentrated on this picture. I hope to make up for lost time in the new week.
