Brutus, and probably other names) has been a devoted fan of my art for years, and has been a regular visitor on IM. Our conversations have been queer, since it almost always consists of him trying to influence me to draw particular characters, join a certain forum, or talk to someone in his endless line of friends. Not to mention his dialect is sometimes peculiar, such as ending sentences with phrases like "yeawell". However, he has pointed me to some good pictures and new characters I would actually be willing to draw. After years of giving no special art treatment, I decided to do something nice for him. I gave him the option of having me draw whatever he wanted. He chose Bowie & Slade from Shining Force II. He also specified various details about the drawing, at my request. He didn't think I could pull off drawing a human, but I knew I had enough experience doing human-like bodies to execute it reasonably well. I will admit I'm still bad with human faces. I should practice drawing them more, because it is a widely valuable skill for art in general. So this was started in ArtRage 2.5, as I've done with other non-oC works recently. The flow of Bowie's headband and cape is done in an arbitrary fashion, and thus will likely need to be redrawn. Also, the angle of the characters seems fishy, but I need to have them positioned as to not block important content. However, Edian recently requested that I show more of the characters' faces (thus giving the picture more of a side view), and also to make them completely naked. Such things will require me to redraw this from scratch, and thus the future of this particular piece is grim. August 19, 2008; 15:49 - Reply BlueVmon: Wow, this really is a great piece Kin. You've done quite an interesting position there too without it obscuring anything! Love to see this finished. August 19, 2008; 20:01 - Reply Ket-Ralus: Well, thank you! I'm going to take a break from this for the time being, but I will definitely finish drawing these two at some point.
