I've finally finished my first proper 3D model. That isn't to say there are no problems with it; I just consider this one a good effort. It's my homage to Argon Vile's character, Malibu. Here are some highlights of my creation process:

Used ZSpheres (& attractor spheres) to create base mesh.

Used partial subdivisions for more detail in specific areas.

Used mesh extraction to create armor subtool.

Created eye subtools (cloned/mirrored for symmetry) w/ ToyPlastic material for high reflectivity.

Colored model with Rgb only (no Zadd or Zsub).

The biggest disappointment came when I tried to use the rigging system at the end of the process, only to find out that it loses all of the detail and color in the model. Essentially, rigging is supposed to be done around the halfway mark of the entire process. I couldn't see any other reasonable way to pose my model, so I just left it as is. I may be able to get it into another 3D program to pose it, but I haven't learned about that yet.

ZBrush has been fun so far, but that's enough for the time being. If I can't at least get simple posing done, I can't make proper art (or porn, rather), and thus I don't want to continue down the path of finishing with outstretched symmetrically positioned characters. Animation would be really nice, but that's even further down the road, and requires an external 3D application. I'll try to keep learning more about ZBrush and 3D modeling in general so I may be able to make something noteworthy in the future, but I'm returning to my 2D endeavors right now.
